Fertilising: Precision, individuality and comfort combined.
The seventh mission takes the L-Team to Northern Ireland. In Limavady, farmer Jonathan Kelly welcomes the LEMKEN expert to his farm. He raises cattle and grows mixed crops of wheat, barley, rape, maize, rye and grass for the cattle.
His challenge?
Fertiliser costs keep rising, driving up the cost of inputs. For a good yield, fertiliser should be applied as evenly and effectively as possible. Overlapping and spreading across field boundaries should be avoided, thus saving as much fertiliser as possible. The required working width is 27 metres with a capacity of 3 tonnes. He asks the L-Team for a solution: Is there a machine that meets all the requirements?
The solution
The Polaris 14 offers maximum precision thanks to its side-independent variable application rate control and the precisely controlled TRIBORD 3 D border spreading device. With the individually adjustable working width of 24 to 36 metres, it enables maximum spreading accuracy and flexibility.
The GPS-supported, automatic Section Control System ECONOV regulates the fertiliser delivery independently and thus prevents over-fertilisation, for example at the headland. Thanks to these functions, the greatest impact can be achieved with maximum efficiency.
