Mission #8: How does stubble cultivation work in dry conditions?

The eighth mission takes the L-Team to Chile. In Coihueco, farmer Luis Bustamante Acuña welcomes the LEMKEN experts to his farm. He grows rape, wheat, oats and other traditional crops.

His challenge?
In order to optimally and efficiently prepare the stubble, the farmer is looking for a machine that can be used for several work steps. He is particularly interested in a shallow working method so as not to work in volunteer grain too deeply in dry soils. Can the L-Team help?

Solution
The experts from LEMKEN have brought the Heliodor 9 for the farmer so that he can test it on his field straight away. The short disc harrow is a real all-rounder, equally suitable for shallow stubble cultivation and for the blockage-free incorporation of intercrops.

Different working depths ensure perfect incorporation of stubble and roots remaining on the field and the subsequent mechanical control of emerged volunteer grain and weeds. At the same time, the loosening of the upper soil layer interrupts evaporation, ideal for dry summers. Various roller options also offer the possibility of adapting the Heliodor precisely to the soil conditions on site.

Can the versatile application possibilities of the short disc harrow convince the farmer? Watch the latest application video now and find out for yourself!
